Hello fellow desis,
I am planning on pursuing Business Analyst job and want help/training from an established/honest GTA training establishment. I have checked BA training ads on CD site and read forums; some of the information/ads seem outdated or others not very helpful so I decided to create a new topic. I hope to get some helpful advice/info as I always have in the past from CD members.
My dilemma is that I can't decide on a school as claims they make seem somewhat outrageous. I can't comprehend how someone can guarantee preparing someone else for 100% job success without knowing anything about them. I mean they don't even know if that person is trainable since there is no mention of 'admission subject to an interview' policy etc. I tried contacting a few and some won't respond to emails which makes you wonder if they are still in business or part-time etc.; others are operating from virtual offices without own training facilities etc. It seems confusing to pick a place to train and get help with job search.
Please recommend any good places to get help on this. I can probably do it the hard way i.e. get cert by self preparation (know the requirements), prepare resume, have references (know the drill) however I think paying and getting training/help from pros might speed up the process.
For an honest course, you should look into University of Toronto's BA course. http://2learn.utoronto.ca/uoft/public/category/courseCategoryCertificateProfile.do?method=load&certificateId=10455745
Unlike desi institutes, the above will not done in 2 weeks to a month but is a much longer course. About desi institutes, in reality those are not 100% job guarantees but they have to say something to sell you the course. About desi institutes, you should visit one center in person and ask how they can guarantee a job placement.
CBAP/CCBA has both require BA experience, do they not?

Thanks for the reply rajcanada.
Yes they need experience. I have 5-6 years experience although job title wasn't business analyst. I am hoping that experience will help.
