you can go in for a Masters in computer science,

Just wondering what a computer science Masters degree will fetch in Canada ,

I work in Software from the Past 7 + years , but I never had any formal comptuer degree courses,
Just read the books which were required for the job,
after all these Industry experience , I can say that in US it may be useful to get an entry or for may be they may consider for a permanent employee job ,

I wanted to do a MS in Computer Science and All the courses are theroy or some outdated cobol or Number theroy or Database theory !
For Example when I work as DBA I need to know how to back up and the commands that are needed and tools used on Oracle or Db2 , rather than the theory behind it!

Or for example if you are an Unix admin you need to know how to create a File system and install commands , rather than the Inter process commnunication concepts which is fine by the way of theroy , but we never use in daily life,
More over techonolgy changes in every 2 years and we need to keep ourselfs updated ,
My take is a degree in CS is just a waste after you have been in Industry for X number of years !

If a degree an Can get a decent job, which you cannot get with experience then may be we can study ,
Else two years of study with no job is , like we loose 40k dollors

you are 100% right. all courses in canada esp. univ. courses are just theory stuff and not practical at all.
even community colleges such as humber, seneca etc... offer courses which are not suited to current software needs.

Please stop providing people incorrect info. That is not what 3x said!!!

I did a course in seneca in digital(3d) art and it WAS relevant to the industry and gave me a firm footing to enjoy what canada has to offer.

Please stick with what you know and be specific. e.g: xxx was specific....while you Prabhu were generalising with the above comments.

A DBA guys told me NOT TO DO DBA from seneca as it is the worst.

Thank you for being specific. Due to the above comment I'm now assuming you understood what I tried to say

Jake,
can you recommend to me (with your knowledge and under no obligation ) as to which software course or related course would help me to get a good (at least 45K ) job when i graduate? do you have any idea?
i think that i am qualified for 3D animation ( as i am an architect) but i donot think i like the course.

You do not like 'the' course? What course? There are lots of programs that are available in Canada for 3d animation. Whatever it is...if you have decided you do not like 'the' course...there is not much I can advise.

As for the rest...what I would suggest is forget about your fixation with 45K jobs(petroleum/architecture/computers/daytrading/etc etc)...switch off your computer. Take up meditation or something.
Your mental state seems to be chaotic, can you even hear yourself think? Figure out what you really want to do. What you *should* do comes later.

That...or you need professional help. ASAP.

I only write this because you adressed me directly.
