Hello friends,
I am trying to do some research on career opportunities for a friend of mine who is going to be here March next year. She's is M.sc in Physics and is currently teaching Grade 11 & 12 in Bangalore. I have some leads as far as teaching profession here is concerned. But I am not quite sure where else there are opportunities apart from teaching. Any leads / ideas and sharing of experience of in this regard would be really helpful.
Thanks
Ashok
Good Future.
She should come to Canada, register for a B.Ed course from a reputed University like U of T, wait for 9 months, do the course which is around an year to an half, the cost would be around 5K. After she finishes she can apply to local school boards, and she being from the science stream would get the job ASAP, and would earn around 40K per annum. She would be part of an Union, the job is safe and she can have 2 months annual vacation.
If she can move to North West in the Native Indian territories she can make a cool 100K.
The best and safest profession for women. Ask her to pick testimonials from all her peers, school and the people who matter in education in the beautiful city of Bangalore.
I miss B'lore and want to settle down there in the near future. I'm from Rajaji Nagar/W.O.C Road there.
God Bless and Good Luck !

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
Are the other profession's unsafe for women in Canada. Kindly elaborate .
