My experience: Johnson insurance guys are lazy bastards...I have always heard back from them 2-3 weeks later or never. Most of them are not in Ontario..I think their call centre is somewhere in Nova Scotia.

When I called johnson their reply was you have to have a 3 yrs of G license only then we will insurance you !!
It shows they are making so much of money which makes them choosy about selecting their clients .
I was reading somewhere recent research has shown Immigrants in Canada are more cautious drivers and have less record of claims still they have to go through all this "Natak "of no of years driving experience .
My friend always tells me we come to their country and learn their driving rules can they do the same is our !

the recent immigrants driving sucks. I live in brampton. before that I have driven 5 years in europe. So did not have to pass any G test. Just get the lincence G in exchange .
What I notice is . new desi drivers are "cautious " wrongly many times.
Will stop on road assuming "All stop" when prime road allows on to drive. Once what happen, a new desi driver stop on a "STOp sign" he/she assume I will stop too . But the other road was go thur. On seeing me passing, he put his car on top gear -). Crazy crap.
Also the notion of 3 sec gap are never followed in highway driving . In england it used to 2 sec gap. Forget 3 sec, even if I put 2 sec gap, someone elese will come in between. Thsi hold true for all non-desi too.

Johnsons is wonderful .... Their quote was lesser than Belair by a cool 40% last year and have lowered my premium further the next year onwards .
All those whom I have met who are with Johnsons are very satisfied - not a single complaint !!

brampton women killed on ETR407 today. Her car disabled and a garbage truck struck from behind. Had 3 sec rule is followed. This could have been avoided. Also perhaps if car goes slow suddenly , at least put hand on emergency lights ON so that other can see your all four red lights on. And try streer on shoulder.
ETR 407 normally have car speed at 130 or 140 km. Chaps make sure your car is in good condition before driving on this highway. I was struck on traffic due to this incident at bathurt exit

I tried lot of companies but rates are always high. they say because of one at fault accident in 2008. It looks like accident stays with you for 6 years. i will advice people to take " first accident forgiveness' clause in policy. there are certian condiotions attached to it but if you are eligible, you pay only 50-60 CAD/year & your rates/record does not matter for first at fault accident.
