Wondering what is a typical premium for a single family detached home in mississauga ? Also I heard that flood insurance is highly recommended but when I enquired with my auto insurance agent ( State Farm ) they said nobody offers flood insurance max we can offer is sewage and drain back up insurance.
Can somebody pitch in with their view/experience

Home insurance, depending on the company of course, can range between $50-$100 depending on age and size of the home. If you have multiple insurance policies with a company (auto, car) they should provide you with a bundled discount.
I'm not too sure about the availability of flood insurance as most of my clients have only obtained the basic home insurance policy from their respective insurance company. Maybe an insurance expert can better answer this question.
