Fortunately my company has no signs of slowing down(one of the major telecom company)..
Infact i am seeing new IT projects being finalized.
I still see lot of contractors(IT) are exisitng and I myself signed for another 6months.
Our company is still recruiting Fulltime as it would be cheaper vs contractors as usual.

Other side, the comodities/stocks are roaring and fetching profits.

My 2 cents, if we would have saved for rainy days and adopt side income in which ever way it is, then these economy slowdowns will not impact.

Well, ofcourse you never know what happens next even when slowdown is not there :-)

Rgds

my co. is talking of layoffs.
all hiring is stopped and if someone quits, they don't hire a person in-place.
we are all so working harder to do all the work.

and we too all have no pay incremen this year though more work is done.

Dear 905Desi(2) bombamma(1) dimple2001(1) ecom(1) G13(1) goldeneye(1) Iceberg(1)
Loser(1) mkannuri(1) Shah(1) tamilkuravan(1) ,

I have observed that only few of us mentioned industry where in we work. I request others on this thread to mention an industry where they are working; otherwise I guess we would have no idea which industry/industries are showing signs of slow down. Ultimately we read posts on "CANADIANDESI" to get more information, in general to guide readers and make an informed decision related to career and may help other readers on this portal.

This is just a humble request.
