Has anyone used name your own price on websites like priceline.com for airtravel.
Any experiences with the flight connections ,stopovers etc for Travel to USA/Canada

I have used priceline extensively (about 20-30 times) for hotel (and rental car) bookings in the US. Didnt use it for flights as we drove everywhere. Have mixed feedback - its a good service and you get some excellent deals - I would typically bid for hotels at around $30-$40. However in the event you cant go your money is wasted - there are no refunds. On our very last usage we had problems with getting the bed sizes we wanted. Overall I would gve it a 5.5 or 6 out of 10.

I have used Expedia few times. They are pretty good. Once you book the ticket rest is the responsibility of the airline.
