After the first few days of the initial launch, the frequency with which a song is aired depends on the popularity of the song (there are ways by which the airing channel can monitor this) and not vice versa . The fact that his songs got aired so many times even after his launch was because they became very popular.
Hi Meghal,
I just realised that I was in a pointless discussion with someone who has never worked in the music or media industry. To an outsider to either industry, (which from your responses I presume you are), things obviously seem very simple.
I hope that you get the opportunity to work in either one of these industries in the media planning/ marketing/A&R division. The entertainment industry is really a fantastic industry to work in!
Moreover, it will be a valuable lesson for me if you could generate one hit after the other by putting your simple marketing formula (lot of airing on TV channels) into practice. To my knowledge, even Tommy Mottola hasn't managed this.
All the best,
Diamond
Hey guys,
Songs or composers or singers could be popular for any number of reasons. Debating on that is to a certain extent pointless.
If i hear a tune and i like it...thats reason enough for me to enjoy it. Now its not always u'll get a good voice to accompany it...but so wat....it is totally upto me to either enjoy it or just ignore it.
Happy friday everyone
