I had the great opportunity of watching this documentary called Buenavista Social Club made in Cuba by an American called Ry Cooder.
I bought a previously viewed DVD of the same from a local Block Bluster Videos. The music and documentary is amazing. The DVD goes to show the olden Cuba, with the golden age of Spanish Salsa/Samba music and the people behind it.
My learning from this DVD is that people will sacrifice anything for good music, art or culture. The people featured are even as old as 90 and still are able to sing very good music from the heart. You could see that they are singing from their heart. They are not rich, but having a very good time.
I do hope we could have some oldies from India who could be inspired to make such classic DVD's.
It is a must watch for any Spanish Music Lovers.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
