I will be moving soon on PR , as I will not be technically in a position to invie my parent immidiately , I have requested a freind to call my Dad on a tourist visa..............How do I proceed besides the documents that my freind will have to show. Main concern is that there ought to be a strong reason to suddenly visit Canada as my name will appear in the CAIPS history check.

It is not possible to get your friend who is not directly related to you to sponsor your dad for TRV. You have to understand that your actions will result in rejection of visa for your parents and will difficult for you get them here in future even when situation has improved.

My so called freind is a far away relative of my Dad & belongs more to his age group , both these people were together in Nigeria long time back....... a simple freind is invitinh his far away relative for a few weeks

Even if you are a new immigrant in Canada, there is no reason why you cannot invite your parents immediately

A FREIND HAS SUGGESTED IN THIS FORUM THAT CHANCES SHOULD NOT BETAKEN BECAUSE IF MY FATHERS TRV BASED ON HIS FREINDS INVITATION IS REFUSED IN THE FIRST PLACE , HE MIGHT HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN I AM IN A POSITION TO CALL HIM.....................I NEED SOME EXPER ADVISE.

I WANTED MY DADS TRV TO BE IN PLACE BEFORE I LEAVE FOR CANADA AS HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO ALL THE RUNNING FROM INDIA ONCE , LEAVE, BESIDES I DO NOT KNOW HOW SOON AFTER ARRIVAL WILL I BE ABLE TO CALL HIM ( JOB, TAXES PAID, SAVINGS REQ)

MY DADS FREIND AGREED TO INVITE HIM MEAN WHILE.......I AM NOT SURE IF HE WILL BE GIVEN THE VASE BECASUE HIS SON HAS PPLIED FOR PR THOUGH NOT DEPARTED FROM INDIA.....ANY INPUTS
