hi there
a freind of minehas sponsered her parents from india.
the application was filed in canada
unfortunately the client id/file number got lost in the office
what is the procedure to find the number from immigration

If you don't have proof that you submitted tha application, there's nothing else you can do. Just resubmit a new application and ask that you not be penalized for their delay/mistake.

By the way, who told you they lost your file? Do you have proof that the application ever reached CIC?
