When the news says Asian in USA, they mean Asians from the far east Usually. IF they are referring to Indians, they usually say Indian or South East Asian!
He is from China. Had a big fight with his girlfriend. Shot and killed her in the dorm. And moved to the class.

As mentioned above it is was a Chinese student. The reason I suspected a Desi was that quite a few Desi students have been quarantined in the near past for threatening their professors. The last know case was the boy from Andhra Pradesh who had threatened that he had Anthrax. The Telugu association in America is trying to get him out from USA. With a Desi being in our own Canadian massacre I suspected it would have been a Desi. There is another reaon for my suspicion is that unlike before when people from iit's and REC's went for higher studies to USA, offlate we find plenty of rich students from private capitation colleges going for higher studies due to family/peer pressure but they are unable to withstand the educational level/pressure. Hence when they find that they are failing or not making good grades they initially try to commit suicide or do tother end of begging with the professor if not then threatening the professor.
Thank God the murderer was not a Desi.
But very sorry to hear a topnotch Desi professor was killed in this massacre.

Nope... the student was Cho Seung-Hui...a South Korean !!???? and a resident alien.
Desi's cannot go about doin this (except desis of a certain ILK...

And if it were a desi, he would have first been identified as a middle eastern person and there would have been a series about terrorism in universities before things were straightened out.
