My comment was aimed mainly at the statement that you made. All I said was, A South Korean killed People in USA and it has nothing to Desis but you would make a blanket statement at 1 billion desis (like the one above ) when this incident has nothing to do with desis at all. No idea what you were trying to prove here...

Yes ! Desis can do it like everybody else. But how does this incident prove that 1 billion desis are chickens. This incident has nothing to do with desis. Period. and hence commands no speculation on them

Am I the only one who finds the level of this discussion incredibly pathetic??

32 people are dead, plus the killer. I can't even imagine what the parents who lost their bright young children are going through. As well, there are children who lost parents and spouses who lost their other half. Not to mention all the young kids who lost friends in such a horrific way.

In a matter of hours, so many lives have been lost and the survivors have been subjected to unfathomable grief.

And all we're talking about how desis can or cannot do this and posting laughing icons on how certain sections of the desi community might be able to do this!?!?? Pardon me for expecting more intelligence and sensitivity.

Not to forget the one who are wounded in the shooting. They have to carry it lifelong, both physically and mentally. Remember Columbine?

The shooter had the signs. The teacher came on the TV this morning and told that both the head of the dept and the police were informed abt this guy who had written some violent articles for the class. After all, police go by the book. Since there was no perceived threat, police did not do anything. The teacher gave one to one tutoring for him as some of the classmates expressed fear abt his presence in the class. Its reported that he used to stalk the girls at VT. A loner and a computer addict, hated rich kids, wrote violent articles for the class.
Is there a lesson to learn for others?

CNN is so reluctant to air about Dr. Loganathan. They are repeating the same things over and over again (governor's speech, etc), nothing new. Dr. Kumar and the head of the Indian students association at VT came and talked on the tv in CNN. The CNN lady kept on saying that “you came to us to say something” (on those lines) as if these two crawled at her. In contrast they contacted the son of another professor who was killed. The son is residing in Israel. He called and CNN gave a wide coverage to him.
Why not Dr. Loganathan? Because he is a brown?
