Hi All

I am planning to bring my car from Toronto To Edmonton soon

I ahve at present 2 options :
1.To drive myself which is too long (may be 3500km) which I want to avoid

2.To send by cargo which is costly ( may be $1100)

I want to know if any other option. Also anyone already brought there car like this.

The car will have to undergo an out of province inspection when you register it in alberta and also you will have to put a engine block heater installed for the cold alberta winter. And most of the people i know have driven it to here or send it by cargo. There is no third option.

There is a third option.
Sell it in Ontario and buy a similar kind of car in Alberta.
You may lose your GST/PST (PST if bought in private sales) paid for your car in Ontario but Since there is not PST in Alberta, You may not pay any tax if you buy a private sales car in Alberta.
This seems to be the prudent way to go.
