accomodation details; she has got two houses (5 rooms in the house that we stayed in ) 1.5 bathrooms (i.e. on bathroom does not have a bath tub)
(they call it washrooms in canada; restrooms in US; bathroom in india; toilet in my language :-))
houses are old; but they are clean; kitchen utensils are old but clean
if you don't like to share kitchen or a strict vegetarian you may have problems.
jenny cleans the house herself. Room has got cable TV and high speed internet access; get a laptop if you can or she will rent out a PC for a dollar a day if it is available
new arrivals will be given a handout with details on how to apply for SIN, driver's license, health card along with the bus routes.
She also sells a telephone card for 10 dollars
overall impression
good place for a person to stay if you don't know anyone in canada
OR if you are short on funds AND willing to stay in a hostel type environment.
If you are accustomed to a bit of luxury then look for some place else. I also stayed at a downtown hotel earlier
