Hello Cds;

I need help in finding good, not very expensive short term accommodation for about 10days in Toronto (downtown/East York/North York area). Pls suggest some hotels/guest houses that i can check out. Have surfed internet but some suggestions would be useful n more than welcome.

There are a few links on the site itself. I am myself looking for a few friends in the downtown area but seems as if now is a mad rush for accomodation in the Toronto area

if you are looking for short term accomodation next to Pearson international airport let me know as i have a friend who runs guest houses for immigrants.

Hotels are more expensive. Could cost you $100-125 or more per day.

There are many motels $60/day available in and around the town. For 10 days, you may bargain for $40 or less per night. You may get because of low season.

If you want to check Mina's Guest House Link: http://www.torontoroomrental.ca/room-4-2.htm
It offers $45-85/day. (Looks it has very Ltd rooms, could be a trap)
Personally, I have not visited this place, but price looks attractive, $45/day, in downtown Toronto.
Some private, own and operated paying guest houses may offer $20-$40/day but have to check for availability for short term.

**Must check accomodation prior making payment, doesn't matter where ever you decide to stay.
