Dear immigration experts
i searched the site and didnot find things related to my problem
i am very much expecting your help
i am a principal applicant for PR (now in canada with TRV) and my wife is dependent back in india
regarding proof of settlement fund, i have some money in my canadian bank account while my wife has some in her back home at a bank
she sent me the bank letter which i am going to include with mine to show sufficient proof of fund at the time of initial application.
i wonder whether:
1. the IO would accept bank balance at any good indian banks
1. amount stated must be in CAD or USD is fine (she sent me in INR equivalent to ....USD), i hope that doesnot create any problem
Thank you very much for your kind response
At the outset I see no reason for you to apologize ..
We all are here to see if we can be of any help by providing information that we might be aware of ..
A letter from any recognized bank can be a proof of your funds . You need not to show any conversion . All immigration officers are well aware of the ongoing rates or else if required they can use internet to find any related information ..
In nutshell even if your statement is in Rs. it is suffice ..
Hope it helps..
Ashwani
P.S: I am not an immigration expert but I dont think that to reply your Q's I need to be ...
