Hi All,

I filled up the online form to schedule an appointment for for Visit Visa of mine and my wife in Toronto US Consulate. Now my question is , in this form I showed my wife as my dependent. So I am the Principle Applicant and she is the dependent.

As my wife is also working, should I conceal this information at the time of interview and tell them that she is a House Wife. I showed her as dependent coz otherwise she would have to fillup a seperate online form and schedule a seperate appointment.

The documents to show my ties in Canada will include A letter from my company stating my date of joining, post and intention for giving vacation to visit US.Also I will carry the marriage certificate.

Now should I also show the letter of employment of my wife?

Pls guide me on this

Thanks in advance

Vise dependants is different from Finacial or tax dependant . You do not need to hide anything , just go with the truth and you should be fine ..

That means even if my wife is working, she is a visa dependent to me.I can tell the officials that she is also working. Is that right?
Thanks !!!!!!!!! for the info

If she is working in Canada , She would need an H-4 and that makes her dependant on you .

If in USA she may already have an H1 then she is not dependant on you
