My sis is applying for immigration from CHC Delhi. Is it necessary to show proof of funds for the initial application ? If so how much ? Most of her savings are in locked up in land/vehicle etc. Is proof of such assets sufficient ?

yes the only proof at the time of application is what u have in the form of FDs, LIC, PPF, NScs or propery papers.

Its not mandetory to show proof of fund at the time of application. But its always advisable to submit everything together to speedup the processing.

You application can be accepted without funding proof, but later CIC will ask to submit the same.

You can apply without proof of fund, but try to submit it before BFD (may be six months for Delhi) .

Reg. car, property etc...its was in old law now you have to show liquid .
