Can we replace the lock in the mailbox (My Canadapost mailbox - part of a whole cluster kept in the street)? Any particular permission to take? Where to get the replacement lock? Checked homedepot and found only independent mailboxes - like the one kept in front of individual houses.
Any pointers?
Thanks much!
Check with Canada Post because Mail Boxes are the property of Canada Post.
The website says in apartments, individual locks are managed my the apartment manager and only the central lock opening the whole unit is managed by CanadaPost. But I did not find any details about the community or group mail box.
I will make a trip to the near by post office.

Thanks Desi#1.. Good I checked with Canada Post.. I am not supposed to change it myself... they took my request and they will be replacing it. I need to go back with proof of address etc.

Hi Sude... Just moved to a new place which has changed hands multiple times... I know of one case where in the previous tenant kept a duplicate key and was keep checking mails even after the move out. So, just being on the safer side....esp since I have no idea who all lived there before...
