Burning a DVD

Hello friends,
need some expertise help once again, i usually download hindi movies using torrents and then when its finished it is usually in .avi format, how do i write that .avi file to dvd, i guess i have to convert that .avi file to some sort of dvd file and then burn it to dvd using some software can someone please throw some lights on this and advise how do i do this after i have the .avi file on my computer how do i write it to a dvd, please advise, any expertise would be greatly appreciated.

You could burn the .avi file directly on to a DVD, provided your DVD player is capable of playing that format.

Alternatively, you could use software like Nero to convert to DVD format and burn.

can you please tell me how do I burn .avi file to a dvd using Nero I dont see any options please help me.

Hello Parag
if you have DVD player with DivX then you can just burn that avi file on disk and you are good to go. but if it's without DivX support then you need to convert that avi file to DVD foramt. i don't know what Nero you are using but if you get the latest Nero (I'm using Nero 7) you will have option to convert avi file to DVD. you can find Nero 7 on any torrent site. Enjoy

P.S. If you are unable to find Nero let me know.

Just download VLS player from internet ( Its Free)

Once u download, just right click ur avi file & it will play

Hope it works

just get a lg 830 divx player from FS. cost $70. burn avi file to dvd or better still download dvd-r files and burn and they should be ready to play. lg has the best divx players btw.

thanks for all your answers, but all i need to know is how do i burn .avi files on a dvd using nero what option do i use as i am not able to do it since i tried it please tell me the steps.
