hi guys
i m new to this site and need help for the immigration
i came to canada in jan 2005 and graduated from cdi college.
applied for PR file at bufflo in september 2005 and till the date i did not get file no from buffalo office ....
can anybody pls let me know how long it takes for the file no. is there anyway i can trace my file or ask immigration people for status of my file?
i hope for a quick reply from our experts at canadian desis.

we filed in nov 2002 and dindnt get a file # till April 2003 . i believe the wait in buffalo is longer now. with the immigration policies in US changing so much more and more ppl are applying from there. so hang on you should be hearing from them soon. just make sure your status is good there. you need to have a job while waiting. so u cant be illegal
