The Province of Nova Scotia has agreed to nominate me under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) on AUGUST 2006. And my application is in Damascus.
On 19 February 2008 I submitted the medical examination. But from that time until now i have not received any news from the embassy.
How long should I wait more to receive my visa after the medical clearance.\

Thanks

Please look in the class that you fall under.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/menu-perm.asp
Under Provincial Nominees, it says, it will be about 15 months from the time you get a final O.K. Since you are still in the stream, please contact them and see how fast it is progressing for you.

Enquiries for CASE SPECIFIC please go to this location on the web:
https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=damascus

For general Enquiries : damascus-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

On the PHONE: (963-11) 611-6692

They ask for your name, date of submission and file number etc., so have the file handy. They will provide you with an answer. OR drop an e-mail with all of the details that you can provide and wait for their response.

Here is some good news for NSNP candidates. The Nova Scotia Government does the preliminary check and suitability and then transfers the files to the Federal government for the other formalities. When you talk to the people in Damascus as them more about the process and how long it normally takes,

Good Luck.

Freddie.
