If you win $35 million or so in 6/49, how would you replace your job if you decide to quit. Yes, you will buy houses, cars, boats, and other things but what will you do for a living? If the interest from bank is enough, you will sit home all day and watch TV or something? Today, the interest money may be enough but down the road after inflation, etc., it may not be.

Would you open your own company or business if you do quit your job? Would you keep working even if it pays you say $15 per hour?

- All the excitement will be gone after sometime.
- You or me will hate to live on interest as the inflation will catch up.
- Definitely, life is going to be more stressful than now.
- Will not change the lifestyle or quit the job immediately all of a sudden as I know it will put me in more risk. I can't rest long and stick to amusement, it'll get you bored fast.
- There will be some worries about how short the life is. (Larry Ellison thinks that way I suppose).
- Study Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, few actors, you know what I mean.
- Study Gates, Buffet, Chidambaram, it should help to adjust to some extent.
- Will invest in learning how to manage your assets and distribute among portfolios of different risk levels and understand that the loss is inevitable in life. You know that $35MM isn't a big deal once you get hold of it. It could be a big deal now.
- Will try to remember always "Thedal enbadhu ullavarai valhvil rusi irukkum'...

if i win lotto i will NOT quit my job. i love my job. i will continue doing my current job but will also open some kind of small side business. i can't sit idle or free for long time.

Depends on what job you are in and what you like in life.
If I win 35M (it is a lot of money) i would :
Quit my job even if it was $120 K a year.
Try to invest the moeny (in Stocks / GIC's/ Real estate(US and India)/ Post office savings, KVP, PUblic Provident fund / FD's...)
Do some road trips in india and USA. Fly to various cities in India, Canada, Mexico, USA, Europe etc...

Bottom line, even with moeny like 2 or 3 Million it is very possible to invest and grow your moeny to unbeliavble heights. When everything fails, we still know a trade to go back to our usual routine.

I don’t think anybody would keep working their old job if they win lotto of anything above $15 million. No matter if they get paid above 150K per year. I would straight away start my own business & work as a boss instead of working for somebody….. but before that I would surely go on a world tour with my family.

I would even donate some part for children or college education to families which has bright kids with no funds to carry on their education. Education is the only thing where you can give your money to somebody for that person to make his & his next generation’s future & life good instead of donating to charities which give food, cultural benefits or building temples.
