Guys,
May be you should forward this thread to Warren Buffet (or the likes).
He may be in a position to buy 13 million tickets and get a greater amount than what he paid for...

Peace

If I got that money:

1. I would put about 5mn in fixed income securities. This would give me interest of about 200K per year and the net after taxes will give me enough to lead a life almost similar life style (slightly better - since presently I spend about 6K cash per month). This means if were to loose the balance 30mn, I would still be able to lead similar life style without any botheration.

2. I would spend a million or two in taking a vacation, buying a bigger house, a luxury car or two - and signing a medium term contract with maid agencies to supply me maids and handyman to do my household work for next 5-10 years even if loose the balance amount.

3. I would invite my brother and sisters, and dear friends (no - you do not fall into that category!!! - before you ask) and their families to spend a nice two week vacation with me in Mexico resort/Greek resort with all expenses paid.

4. With the balance money I should be able to start one or two businesses (medium scale) since I should be able to borrow from the banks atleast $50million on a debt equity ratio of 2:1 and try to make it a success - so that my children do not ever have to work for someone else. I will spend my time in teaching them how to grow the 'empire' !!!

* what if there is a 'Split' !
* need to mark all those combinations !
* need to pass on to retailer to print the ticket. tickets needs to be entered at thousands different locations to get through in time.

We abondon discussion at this point ...

You must be really kidding when you say that someone would actually think of doing this. Not to mention if someone actually does it, he won’t get the prize as the investigating team would somehow find that trick & abandoned the prize, considering a false attitude towards entering a lottery draw.

I remember a movie recently named “21” starring Kevin Spacey where he teams up some students who were genius in maths & planned to cheat a casino in black jack game. He even succeeded in doing so, but it is considered to be against the law. The worst part was he didn’t revealed the trick in the movie or in DVD’s extra parts. I have heard a lot of this trick of black jack which is real if you are good in counting, but unfortunately don’t know how it works.

In the movie '21', Kevin Spacey himself reveals the trick to beat the house (or casino) when he tutors the students how to always make money in Blackjack. This Blackjack strategy is called 'card counting' and it was successfully done by MIT students (the movie is based on their true life story).

Point to note: 'card counting' is not deemed illegal as it is only memorizing cards and hence you are not cheating (you use probablity to your advantage by memorzing what cards have been already played and hence determining what cards are left in the pack). That said, the casino has the right to refuse you entry if they think you are 'counting cards' and winning consistently.

Guess what? I always wondered what ppl would do if they win a lottery.
I if win a lottery

1) I would pay up my mortgage and would do very nice updates to my house
2)clear all my debts and also debts from my Family
3)For sure I will hire maids to clean and cook
4)would buy properties in prime locations where the rentals are good
5)I would quit my job however will let my husband go to work
6)I would buy a car and hire a driver(I can't drive)
7)engage in some spiritual/religious activities

Wow I feel so good just thinking about the above.Once in a while we all should dream LOL

Cheers
Prince
