Anyone knows where to get cheap ticket fares from Toronto to Delhi?

I have been looking at the regular web-sites like Expedia, Itravel2000 etc.
Looking for something other than the regular.

I have found all these websites expensive and useless.
I got tickets for my wife and kids through some travel agent few weeks ago for Etihad airways. I checked Emirates too and surprisingly, rates for emirates were almost same but since timing-wise Etihad was working better for the family, so they preferred Etihad. Just check Emirates on their web site, they have some promotion going on.
One of my friends is going to India next week. He's got British airways for $1300. I think you can be better off dealing with a travel agent rather than these crappy web sites. You can negotiate too.

As of 24th May. We got our tickets for India last month from this agent and it was a good deal. We got Air France at approx. $3900 for 2 adults one child and one infant.

In the past I have bought tickets from Gill International (near Pearson Airport) and have received excellent quotes and service.

However, this time I got the most competitive quotes from Air Canada website directly (Toronto-Zurich-Delhi) $1674 all inclusive (base price $1485) for Dec./Jan. I booked the tickets online.

Alitalia was cheaper by about $120 or so but I've heard some real horror stories; also I didn't want to change the plane with 2 kids in tow.

I finally bought from an Agent of Skylawn (Montreal) and feel it was a good rate- Websites were always expensive and time wasting (good to understand fare situation though). Sometime, if you buy from an agent and pay by check instead of 'Credit Card' you may be able to save 2.25% (cost of handling VISA/MASTERCARD).

November is generally the cheapest time to fly.
I too recommend going through a travel agent - try a local Indo canadian one as they likely have the best deals.
