Dear CDs,

I need your recommendations for a good Color printer for my office desk:

1. Print approx. 700 pages per month, 90% all black.
2. Print text and sometimes images. But need good photo quality printing for presentation etc..
3. Need good speed for black.
4. Network sharing.
5. Scanner is good option, but not necessary. I have experienced with HP, if we install the complete driver with scanner the computer becomes very slow and start up takes longer.

I would prefer a laser over inkjet, but I am not very confident of color photo printing of laser compared to standard photo printer on regular paper (not photopaper). HP is the only brand I have used till date, so cannot compare. Those with experience, please guide.

Let me know of any deals currently.

Besides the deal, I am actually looking for recommendation for a good printer. I believe HP is the way to go then...

Anyone tried the new Kodak Printer -they say the cartridge cost is way less than HP...

Not sure if this helps but at factorydirect.ca they have a Brother all in one printer for $40/- on their hot deals .

Also look at for Staples deal Wednesday ie tomorrow ....

I have got a brand new printer (my son got it with his new laptop) HP F-4280 all in one printer which I understand is good. However, I bouught a laser printer for him and now we have 5 printers in a family of four. The box is unopened because he wanted a colour printer. Since I already had a nice HP colour printer (10 year old!!!), I bought new cartridges costing over $90 and he is happy with that

The retail price is 89.99 - would let it go for $50.
