I started investing in stocks & trading heavily after mid 2008. I made an Microsoft Excel file which I updated daily along with the activity in my trading account, so that it would be easy during filing tax at the end of the year. It showed me total capital gain including the deduction of my trading fees.
But now as I am trying to file my tax, it seems to be difficult for me as UFILE is asking me to input all the trading individually again on their website. It would be a lot difficult for me to enter all the trade (more than 60) again in their website.
Is there any easy solution for this problem ???????
How does other CD's who invest in stocks go with their tax filing ?
I heard that Quicktax platinum edition has enhanced guidance & helps you track sales of stocks, bonds & mutual funds. How good is this ?
Can I import all my trading from my investment account or Excel file to any other tax software directly ?

You should get T5 from your financial institute. That will include all your capital gains/losses from your trades.
