Hi,
I am an immigrant from India and looking for a JOB.
I am interested to join the public sector jobs in toronto/canada like
municipality,ttc,airports,railways,posts,police,water works,public transport,etc;;;
What is the eligibility criteria for such jobs?
Is recruitment underway or completely stopped?

I observe that you are member since 2004. I do not know why are asking this question.

I mean any one in Canada would know how system works here. Are you a new immigrant or just plain lazy?
You should know that each Province has their own website for provincial job and likewise for Municipalities.
Crown corporations like OPG have their own web sites and these are most notorious for recruiting persons with connections without even going through formalities of advertising positions and their salary and perks are better than Govt jobs. Amongst Govt jobs, better salary and perks are in order of Municipalities , province and Federal.
Without Canadian education and "experience", you are not likely to ba called for interview.

unless of course you speak languages they need.
I am not sure about fed level but at provincial level, with no canadian experience nor education, I got a job when I first landed in Canada being fluent both in Spanish and French. I quit after 6 weeks as I got a job in the financial sector which was my preference.
I am not sure but I think you need to be a Can citizen for jobs at Fed level.
