Hi,
Where is your interview?
I attended interview in LA. It was very cool. Just a verification of documents. Lasted for 15-20 minutes.
But CAIPS notes should tell you the reason for interview and so it may be helpful to prepare for the interview. But I couldn't get my CAIPS notes before interview.
Hi,
Same here as previous post. They mainly verified the documents. Whole thing was over in less than half hour. All questions they had was regarding what work I did and would I do the same job in Canada. Hope this helps.
Regards.
My interview is on 5 may at interview.
I qualify according to old rules but not acc. to current system.
My case is of april 2000.
IELTS : Listening 6.5, Reading 6.0, Writing 6, Speaking 7.
I am getting 71 points under old rules including language before interview.
I got my CAIPS notes.
Do i need to worry.

Me and my husband had interview in LA in June 2003. We were the first to arrive at the counsulate. The interviewer/Immigration officer was Amy ma. She asked my Husband, who is the primary applicant to say his name, address and what he does for living . This was to see his english language competency. Later she expalined the point system and how much we scored in each category. It took about 15 minutes. She then gave us info on living in canada and asked us to wait to take my medical papers (My husbands already had his medical).
Hope this helps.
Also forgot to mention, We also had points below the current scores but because we applied in 2001 we were exempt from the required 75. But I am sure that the points that are required now have been reduced to 67. Its not 75 anymore.
