Hi there,
My brother has filed for Canada in 2002 June. He just got the interview at the end of November.
If any one can share there experience with us at Newdelhi, then it is really helpfull to us. What kind of questions they will ask during interview what to read and be prepared ?
Thank you
If it is a straight forward case, then there is no need to worry.
They will just go through the application form with you. They will also see your original degree certificates / certificates. They will also need a latest PCC from you.
There might be questions regarding where you want to settle in Canada (e.g. GTA) and may ask about what you know about the the place, your career prospects in the area you want to settle etc...
Also they will be very willing to answer questions from you about Canada.
Usually at the end of the interview process, they will inform you if you are tentatively qualified for an immigrant visa (subject to medicals).
If your case is complicated (e.g. Divorce pending, child custody, lack of English / or French knowledge, missing documents, unrecogonized university etc...) they will ask questions in that regard as to get clarifications.
This was the situation in 2001 - 2002.

Thank you.
He has a very straight forward case but he did not give any english exam IELTS. How long this interview will continue ?
My interview was for around 30 - 45 minutes.
The interviewer (visa officer) also enters the current information (years of experience, age, qualifications etc..) to get the latest points. Since her computer was not that good, she took around 20-25 mins. to enter the information. 10 mins to go through me portfolio (Note : She did not ask for it, but i only offered it as i am an Architect, and i am supposed to have a portfolio with me). 5 mins. to tell me about Canada. She asked if i needed to know more about Canada but i said no..
It is a very casual atmosphere but i was tense since i was trying to desparately come to Canada (a decision which i now regret.)
All the best for yoru brother.

TD,
I would have been in the gulf saving atleast Rs. 50,000 a month and going home to India once a year.
