This is my first time to post a message here and let me star with hearty Namaste to everyone.
My husband filed his PR application ( skilled worker) in 2001 and was processed at Buffalo, Chicago.
We got married in India March 2004 and he filed relevant paperworks for spouse along with processing fees but havent received any notification for this until today.We did fax couple of times within past five months to followup this.
Coulpe of weeks back we received a notification that all our paperworks are transferred to local office in Detroit and all enquiries should be directed there.
Four days back my husband got interview appointment on september 6 2005 at Detroit consulate.My understanding is that spouse/dependants should attend interview along with principal applicant.
In my case I havent done my medicals as I havent received IMM 1017 form until now.Will it be advicable to attend interview with my husband without completing the procedure?Kindly suggest.

Hi,

You must attend the interview with your husband. Before attending the interview, you can write to the Detroit consulate asking for your medical papers. If you don't receive it before the interview, at the time of interview, you can explain it to the officer and you can always do the medical after the interview.

Normally, Medicals can be done before or after the interview.
