I have an offer to work as an independent contractor and have to set myself as a sole proprieter.The agency is telling me that I can work as an indepedent contractor and still pay my EI and CPP.In case my contract is terminated for any reason I just want to make sure that I am eligible for EI.

The contract is for 40 hour work week just like a regular employee without benefits.

Please advise.
