Hello Experts,
I was on the post-graduate work permit for 2003 - 2004 and my employer never deducted tax. They said I have to pay tax at my own as they treated me as a self-employee/ independent contractor or something like that in their records. I did paid tax at my own for 2003 (got approved) and 2004 (waiting for approval).
I was having below letter except the word *contractual* and visa office told me during my interview of TRV that in this letter no where it says that you were on the contractual basis or something. By looking at this letter it looks like I was an employee there and they have to deduct tax. Visa officer also said that if they haven’t deducted the tax it is illegal. But I said I paid tax and you can review my tax return for 2003 and then she got her answers and did approved my TRV, etc.
Now, I have to get Record of Employment from my employer for my immigration and just wondering is below format is ok as I was self-employee or independent contractor, because I don’t want to get screw up for my immigration. Please suggest me is below format ok to get from my previous employer? (Note: I am not yelling by using capital, it just to stand out)
