I am a landed immigrant planning to visit UK in first week of january.

i am wondering if anyone knows... how much it usually takes for visa processing for uk from toronto ?

i understand the process involves :

1) online submission of application and wait for them to tell you to go to vac office for finger prints

2) you setup an appointment at vac office, visit them (i think its near eaton centre if am not wrong) and do your finger printes and pictures

3) you mail your passport and supporting docs to UK embassy in Ottawa...

and they will send your passport back either by courier or you can pick up from VAC office.


wow... that sounds a big procedure... anyone can enlighten this procedure and timings? since i only have 3 week-4 weeks left and we have some holidays coming in our way too... is it still possible ???
