My sister who is 25 yrs of age and single applied to visit us, . But to my surprise, her visa got rejected, she will get the officlal letter along with her passport by mail.ions do i have, can i go to my localMP office?.

what options do i have?... is it better that when she applies next, she applies when she is married.?.

we are having a baby and i wanted her to be with us.....let me know, thanks

If you had put a reason that you wanted your sister of 25 years of age to assist your wife in the post delivery/ pre delivery care, then you surely are a joker.
Did you expect the Canadian visa officials to have bought your story?

No i did not give that reason at all.

Visa to any country is like a lottery ticket. There is no math that can be put together to work out a successful formula. Don't worry and try again some other time for you sister's visa.
Some pointers can be like:
-Include your employment letter
- Tax document
-proof of your status in Canada
-Prayer before entering consulate for visa

So far we all have established from earlier posts that there is no certain criteria for issuance /denial of the visa . My sister was denied twice last year even though we have provided all supporting documents . She is a well known Dr. and a author of several books . .. I myself have a home here and an OK bank balance. Parents are getting visa easier than brohers or sisters ..
Next time b4 you apply try and a contact a good reputed consultant .

Few pointers are:

1. If you tell them that your relative is coming to help with baby or delivery then they will definitely reject the Visa as the officer can think that a Canadian nanny's job is going to be taken by this visitor.

2. Try to show your relatives assets in India. It will help establish the fact that Visitor has to go back to India.

3. Show proof from your side (salary slip, bank balance, etc.) that you can financially take care of the relative.

4. Like others said... rest is luck.
