Hi .I m new to canada.came here a few days ago.I have my master's in Information Technology.I was a lecturer in India. It is becoming very difficult for me to find a job as i have no industrial exp.Can sumone suggest me what I should do if i want to go in the industry side or otherwise should i look for a job in the education sector. In the education sector i have no knowledge if B.Ed is required for getting a job as an I.T teacher or lecturer.anyone related to this field please answer my query.shall be very thankful.
There are 2 approaches you can take .. in fact 3 ...
a. Take up a job in IT Training industry ... you may not need a B Ed .... while you are working in such a job , try to gather professional qualifications which can augment you to get a job in a College / University .Try browsing for ' Hi Tech IT Training ' or similar Institutes for now . ... best approach if you wish to stay in training .
b. Join what ever IT Training job you can get , get some smart certifications and then attempt to switch to the industry upon an opportunity ... uncertain ..
c. Claim your experience in India as in Industry ... Like most of the things for new immigrants , you get this liberty only once -- its hard to check references in India and they would more or less rely on your statements and perhaps contact some references also in India ( which I m sure you can manage ) ... But once you are in Canada , your career progress can be checked more authentically and you may not get this chance again ......
Go in for a job which you feel you can do ... what ever platform / language your are comfortable in .............. in the worst case scenario , they will wait for 3-6 months before firing you ..... ( although unlikely ) ... You will be grilled but would gain experience that would open roads for the industry .... Good Luck ....

Hi fido
Thanks for ur help.
Fido can u help me on this?
What do u think should i go for training in Software testing? Is that a good option?
Are you able to develop courseware on topics like System Analysis & Design, Object oriented analysis & design etc? Content needs to be original (not copied from other works). If so, PM me your contact details.
Thanks
DT
