Could some one share your thoughts about places reliable,competent and affordable to file the taxes.Its regular incomes with just two t4s .

Do it yourself using Studio Tax, free software, certified for Netfile.

If you are not confident on doing yourself,
CRA has a program for volunteer tax preparation clinics,
find out based on your location.

I want to use turbo tax online free edition. I had a simple return with just my T4 and rent paid to land lord. Not sure whether turbotax free edition considers my rent paid in Ontario. Anyone used turbo tax free edition and included rent paid (not rental income) in ontario?

Unless you are working from home office or self-emplyed, you can't deduct any portion of the rent paid.

ON does give you rent / property tax credit even if you're employed full-time i.e. with a T4, although there is a gross pay limit upto which you get the credit. For 2010 use the form ONBEN

If you're self-employed or working from home you can show the rent / property tax as an expense
