I was at this place and just wanted to share a good experience of having high quality South Indian food.
They are also well known for their Lunch Buffet ( 30 Dishes !! ). Located South of Britannia and Mavis ( Mall behind Canadian Tire ) , the place is clean , taste excellent and reasonably priced.
The owner Sri ( who is also the chef ! ) comes from a family who have been owning Restaurants in Tamil Nadu for the past 65 years !!
A very refreshing break for anyone who is bored with Udipi or Saravana Bhavan food !!
Definitely worth trying !!

If the place is clean and the buffet is well priced, then welcome to see a man who will bankrupt himself in 1 or 2 years and then curse Canada.
GTA esp. is not a place where a buffet restaurant (esp. south indian and esp. if he comes from a line of cooks and takes pride in cooking) can ever thrive.
let him run away from the business while he still has time.

The number of South Indian restaurants in GTA have multiplied in the last few years.
I can tell you about Miss/Brampton.
In 2005 the only S Ind rest i knew was Sarvanan bhavan.

Kwality (they have started dasas)
all serving decent food and doing well. All of them have buffets either weekdays or weekends..
There are may more which i dont even know of, so i know they are thriving.

Live and Let Live
I did try their ALoo / Palak patties. Yuk very awful.
I love Avani, Host foods........... Superb but a little bit pricey.
