Some times , people open new accounts with a motive - to undermine some one , promote some thing or to slander and then move off ... Such people do not have a large number of posts and hence are not as reliable generally speaking as those who are quote regular on the forum .

Iceberg I think was referring to this - obviously there might be exceptions .

We live in Malton and been to Swagruhas number of times. Every time food and service was wonderful. The best we like.. There weekend Buffet lunch… it is really great.

Just as a side note : They do not keep Dosas in Buffet, you will have to ask them to bring to your table (Dosa are part of Buffet though but are served fresh right from the kitchen). So, when you enter into the restaurant just let them know how many Dosas you need to start so you won’t have to wait for Dosas to start your lunch.

Thanks to the OP for referring this place !!

We visited this restaurant yesterday ( 2970 Drew Road Malton but beware your GPS may not guide you exactly - Malton Gurudwara is a good reference point though ) and was surprised by the quality of food .

Was a long weekend Monday yesterday and though not expecting a heavy crowd was pleased to see the place filled to 75% capacity ... We had a masala dosa and a thali and both were excellent ..... Dosa was crisp and all the things had a differently pleasent taste about them .... The place was clean although the seating arrangement was simple .

Will visit them definitely on one of their weekend buffets which I believe is $7.95/-

My top 3 S Indian picks in the west end are

a. Nilgiris Brampton
b. Udupi Madras cafe .
c. Swagruhas

Shall be adding this restaurant to the S Indian wekend buffet thread as well ...Thx .

I've been to Swagruhas atleast 10 times - mostly on weekend buffet. It was excellent for $7.99. My favourite is Masala Idli.

Also there is a new "Dosa Paradise" at Hurontario/Steeles. I found a better food and price then the one on Derry/Mclauglan!!

I heard Swagruhas Dosa is really good. Its in Malton , I think near Mississauga and Toronto border.

Quite close to Pearson airport.
