Dear Desis,
I am following the threads on this site since quite some time. I am 34 yrs., MBA in Marketing with PG Diploma in Training & Devlpt. with 10 years exp. in Shipping, Consultancy & Insurance earning Rs. 30k per mth.. I am currently Training Manager of an Insurance Co. I had applied in Aug. 2000 and have recd. Visa/Landing papers.
I am making a move in August this year with my wife and 3 yr daughter. Beleive me I am quite well settled here with all luxuries of life. I used to think it's very difficult to start fm scratch in Canada.....too much struggle. I receive very good support & motivation fm my frnd. in HR who is pretty well settled in Brampton after she moved there 3 yrs back. She's advising me that I should take up part-time job in either Sears/Zellers/Walmart [to which I am applying] and take up part-time study immdtly after I land so that I may secure a job in my field ASAP.
If I have fought all ods and come to what I am today in India [where job scenario is as turbulent] I am sure to fight it out and GET A GOOD JOB IN CANADA TOO......I beleive I can.
Your views are welcome....
Dear Mast Desi,
You are quite right. Positive Attitude counts! A lot of times, we waste far too much time thinking about the negative aspects of a situation. If we were to spend even half of that wasted time thinking of positive solutions, we can turn any situation around to our advantage.
Good Luck to You in all that you do!
Regds,
DT

You are not alone, don't put ur 3 kids in struggling life. Life is not that easy in Canada. If u r established in India then just dont come. Rest is ur choice.
Positive attitude should be with some sense.

You be your own judge...i'd suggest if you can , take a trip here before making the decision to resign in india. There are many indians of your age group who have successfully resettled here ...and there are also scores of those who have not.
If you are able to get the break you are looking for here ...the benefits are very well worth the move from india.
keeping a positive outlook does not guarantee success but it certainly acts as a catalyst in getting you closer to your goals.
