I need to go to USA for a week training program next moth.and for that,
My recent company(canada) give a letter indicate my purpose to go to usa.
My question is ,
which type of visa do i need to apply?

can i do it online and need to go USA embassy for interview??
I am PR in Canada.

Yours will be a business trip and will under the B visa category. I believe, you'd have to apply online and attend the interview in person after obtaining an appointment.

You may apply for a visitor visa which is B2. However, I indicated B1 only because you mentioned your company has provided a supporting letter indicating your purpose. If your company is involved, it may appear as a business trip.

In any case, if you intend to use the company letter, you would be better off with a B1. If not, you can state a generic visit to the US as your purpose for the visa. The word training might be looked as more for business.

I need some more info. ,
I was waiting for confirmation from usa company , which i got today.
As per schedule my training start from 15 april,
my question is , if i apply today , 4 april 2013, can i call usa embassy for my early appointment ?? Did anyone from this forum got a appointment within week after apply on??
