Visitor in Canada wants to visit USA

Hi

I am PR in Canada and my parents visited me here on Visitor Visa. Now I want to extend their visa and wondering if I take them to USA (as they have US visa too) for entry purpose and get it stamped for another six months. Is this a good option or I have to request the embassy for extension.
Please help as I need all your expert advise.
