Experts: Please address question on Parents Immigration: Medical & Passport call

Hello Everyone,
Like many other fellow desis there is development in my parent's immigration process as well. I had originally sent the application on Aug 2007 and in April 2011 the case was transferred to New Delhi.
Today we have got letter from New Delhi and they are asking for medical examination and passport for my mother.
The issue is my mom is here in Canada with me for about 2 years on visitors visa. I had applied for her visitor visa extension for which she had gone through the medical exam in Feb 2011.
My question is can we request embassy in Canada to send her results to New Delhi embassy because the medicals are valid for one year? Her medicals took longer time as she had to give TB test again in March 2011. To avoid this again I was hoping if we could use the same medical results.
Although she will have to go to India to submit her passport. So my second question is how long will it take for her to get the PR visa once we send her passport to the Embassy?

She should get the medical done from New Delhi. That will be beneficial to her and you. Do not take a chance. I have seen cases where doctors here screwed the medical for people who were supposed to get it done from India. Do not take that chance. Medical for visitor visa is different than for immigration. She has to get it done again.
Medical results does not go any consulate. They are sent to Ottawa for processing. They take atleast (atleast) 3 months for processing.
How long it takes to visa processing after the submission of medical and passport? - Canadian Government knows, even God can not predict the time nowadays.
Does she have to go to India? I have seen posts where someone got medical done here and I assumed you could go to US and re-enter? why is the passport sent to India and even if it is, why can't you send it from here while she is staying here?

You can do whatever you like or read. This is not illegal what you have written. There is a perfect route with no chance of any intentional mishaps and there is not a perfect solution that you are suggesting.
Sending passport to India and getting it back through courier - a risky proposition. What if it is lost in transit? I think it is not legal to send the passport of visitor if the visitor is still in the country.
It is personal choice. Saving some money could land you in more unnecessary delays.

thanks Desi#1 and Greg38. We have decided to get her medical done here and send the passport through a friend who is travelling to India.
I enquired with courier companies and they say that they can courier passport only to consulates or government authority but not to individuals. So receive g it back is a problem
