I'm thinking of a career change to finance and want to know how to go about getting into finance.
I have heard of basic courses and certifications like CSC.
I am not interested in advanced CFA type certifications just yet...first I want to get my toes wet with some basic courses and certs.
anything that will help me get a starter job at a bank or financial institution.
can anyone give me some pointers and links.
thanks very much.
Depends on what you want to do and where you stand today. CSC is more more investment advisor type jobs, LLQP for life insurance agent jobs, RIBO for car & home insurance jobs like in StateFarm etc. Then there are companies like Edward Jones who will pay you to do these courses provided you work for them later. If you go CSC site you will plenty of material.
