What are the prospects after doing tax return filing course. It is a short term course by the companies like taxwide and softron that do tax return filing.

I know this is a seasonal industry and most of the work will be in that part of the year when you do tax filing.

I would recommand doing this course to every new immigrant whether or not from finance background. I have done it myself and learned a lot of things. It not only might provide one with a seasonal part time job and extra income, but even tell you what kind of tax planning can one do in this high tax country - and it teaches a lot to us in terms of various provisions that we would have never come across in Asia.

These courses are short term courses and mostly in evenings - say 2 times a week and dont cost a bomb. Also the course fee can be claimed as deduction for tuition fee while filing your return for that year!!!

They also offer distance education program which you can pay by credit card. You can email them and ask if they accept credit cards issued in India and if you can do the course sitting in India.
