Hello! Been a long time since I was on CanadianDesi. Wondeirng if people know what events are taking place for Diwali in Surrey area.
I know there is a Diwali downtown in City Hall. Anything else .. i.e. family friendly.

There is celebration at Surrey temple on Diwali day where you can lit firecrackers. Generally there is a vendor who sell firecrackers in the parking lot. Be prepared to park car far away from the temple. Many of the community centres also have Diwali programs.
Thanks. I was generally looking more for Banquet hall family oriented programs. I am aware of the Surrey temple .. but it will likely be chaos with no parking and people stepping on each other.
I was there for Dusshera .. really gets crowded.
