I have been to banjara few times. It is not andhra food. Though the owner seems to be andhrite but from far east. Now they serve Thai and Indian buffet. I like their Thai buffet but not very fond of indian buffet. It is at Yonge & Bloor. They do get a white crowd though.

It is very close to Yonge & Bloor. From the the intersection go south on Yonge. It on Younge probably two blocks away. They have thai buffet. I liked chicken in coconut curry. In the past they even had raw mango salad but I did not find it on my last visit. Indian food too seems to be made in coconut gravy. Price if I remember correctly was around $10. It is definitely different than the commonly available punjabi food. If you like south indian food, you should also try Madras Palace in Scarborough. It is mainly Tamil food. They have two locations one in Richmond hill and one in Scarborough. Richmond Hill is newer and cleaner and expensive location. Scarborough is little older location. Richmond Hill has buffet and Scarborough has limited thani and of course other south indian stuff.

Hi Lana!
Thanks for the info. and update. Will try Banjara soon. $ 10 for the buffet seems very resonable compared to their menu items in which each item was atleast $9.95.
OTH, I have to agree w/ chandresh on Madras place. I had been to Scarborough branch and the food was horrible. They had used motta rice and the place was really filthy.
Thanks

I agree scarborough place is not very clean but you could go to their new location in Richmond Hill. It is very clean and the same food at Scarborough is buffet. I like their two curries that are closer to what my mom used to make when we were kids. One is mango curry i.e. mango pulp heated with vaghar of urad dal and eggplant in coconut curry.
