.and that, in my own humble opinion, is even harder than finding singles friends that you have something in common with.

What say you?

Why? Weren't we single once upon a time?:p

Why? Can't we eat, drink and dance as the singles do?

Can't we go bowling as singles do?

Yes, we might not be able to go to strip bars with singles (but we can do with couples!!!) but there are so many other things that we can do with singles (and young couples with no children or young children).

Think about it - and then you might change your view.

Hey Chandresh,

I think you have misunderstood me ( don't worry it happens alot!)

I agree with you...we can do all of the above things you mention as couples...those are the things my hubby and I do all the time with our couple friends.

My point was that as a couple, my husband and I have yet to meet another couple who we feel completely at ease with....more often than not, we would rather stay in on a Friday night with each other and an open bottle of wine rather than go out with certain frineds because we find them a little narrow-minded...

I hope that clarifies it somewhat...

Hey just to let you know, I am happily married :)

I am all up for making friends though!

Does anyone out there live in London Ontario???

Hey, why do married desi girl feel that it is very important to advertise their happy marriage and every opposite sex comment is to finaly take them to .....you know what I mean.......
And may I ask why would single people like to interact with you when you are married and why you are being so rude by pushing Chandresh despite of his saying he enjoys any company...........
For your last question, if you want many of us can shift to London Ontarion to give you company.......mind it just company....chitta chatting......:D
Faisal do you think I am in again :)

By saying I am happily married is to let everyone know a little something about me....that IS the point of getting to know people right? Likewise, i would love to know about you, instead of focussing on what I am saying and what I am not saying...at least I am revealing certain true facts about myself....what have you revealed about yourself? As for saying "happily married" well, I am happy in my marriage...simple as that!

And by what do you mean I am pushing Chandresh?? Chandresh, I apologise if you think I am being rude...it is not my intent, please let me know if I have offended anyone!

I take it as a compliment and I feel flattered if there was someone interested in me in that way so as to finally get me into....you know what I mean. Please do not generalise by saying "all married desi girls".....it's such a cliche...Hmmmm...I remember a certain person saying something about "narrow-mindedness......!"

Case closed!

I believe every one needs friends, regardless of being married or unmarried. It is just that when a married person tries to find some frinds it is assumed that he or she is not satisfied with his marriage. But its not that! We need more people in our life than just a life partener!!

Hey Brown Girl - if that happens with you( people misunderstanding you), it should be you who has to worry, not ME..ha...ha!

No dear, I am saying we can do all these things WITH singles and couples alike. We have always had singles/young couples/forced bachelors as good friends, and we have a lot of fun with them.

try us/me!!! (and some of our friends). Sometimes though I too ache for friends who are broad minded (which does not mean that other friends are narrow minded - just that some of my friends are not that broad minded as I would like them to be!). Infact, one of my best friends sometimes calls up and says that he wants to talk to his girl friend - my wife that is - and talks to her at length! and I don't feel possessive about that.

I hope that clarifies it further:D

Chandresh

PS by the way, I am gonna be in London for one full day next month during the March break - would you want to meet up with us, we are game!

Very true indeed!

Hey Chandresh,

I see what you are saying.....single friends, couple friends, we can all get along and have fun.

But I think you do understand...you and I both know that we enjoy time with people who are on the same "wavelength" as us. Not all friends are, they may be great friends and you may have a fantastic time with them, but still, they are not on the same wavelength. And sometimes, in a couple, you may get on fabulously with the wife, lets say, but not be able to stand the husband! thats what I meant by it being hard to find a couple to hang out with that you both enjoy....geddit?

Anyway, just thought I would mention that my hubbys name is Chand - without the "resh" Hahah!

Hey if we are in London in March, I would love to meet up! We are still trying to find a buyer for our house in Brampton and so the transition to London could take a while.

Chand has been in London since Wednesday checking out his new work area and meeting his team...I am joining him tonight so we can look at some houses in the Kilworth area tomorrow...
