Who would you prefer in Semis - Australia or Pakistan?
My personal choice is Pakistan.
1. India Pakistan match is always more exciting than India Australia
2. Makes it certain that at least one south Asian team reaches final
3. Makes me more happy if Australia cannot make it to Semis
4. It might be easier to beat Pakistan, than Australia
5. Indian mythology believes in no 7 - so we have to beat Pakistan the 7th time in WC

1.Australia have the home court advantage..home pitches & home fans & home conditions.
2.India have a mental block against Australia.
3.They have yet to beat Australia even once either in Tests or ODI's in almost last 5 months they have been inAus.
4.Mentally India can't stand Aussie sledging & often lose their emotions & control & play right into their hands. The exact thing Aussie wants.
5.Aussie batting & fielding is far superior to Pak. Their bowling is almost equal, Aussie are slightly ahead there too.
6.Aussies are NOT prone to batting collapses like Pak and handle pressure extremely well.
They are mentally very tough. They stick to their plans & play as a unit as a team. They just play to win & not for individual records or scores.
A guy on 99 will try to hit a 6 if the situation & ball demands. While Indian & Pak players get booged down in 40's & 90's & waste lot of deliveries to get to their 50 or 100.
7. Pak have a mental block against India in WC matches. They are yet to win against them in a WC, that will play on their mind.
8. Pak also drop lot of catches, unlike Aus. Its easy to take singles against Pak & rotate the strike/keep the scoreboard ticking & prevent pressure from building up, due to their poor fielding.
9. Aussie hardly drop any catches. Their fielding cuts of lot of boundaries. Also hard to take singles against them, so a batsman gets stuck at one end playing lot of DOT balls. The pressure builds up & eventually he goes for a BIG shot against a good ball & throws his wicket away.
10. Aussie bowl in pairs. Both bowlers from either end bowl well & create pressure. Pak even if one bowler is bowling well, the guy from the other end loses the plot & leaks runs with bad balls & releases the pressure. So you can preserve your wicket against the good bowler & NOT take any risks & just take 1's & 2's . But you can target the other bowler & score 4's & 6's against him, keeping the run rate up.
So definitely PAK is a better opponent than Aussie in Semi - Final.
PAK actually has a MUCH better chance of beating Aussie than India, as they are quite unpredictable & Aussie like to play against predictable teams, whom they can plan against.

Pakistan all the way.
Reasons have already been well stated by the other posters above. I am supporting Pakistan in today's match.
Then again, who would you rather lose to? Australia or Pakistan?
Works both ways.
You are the first to hear this on CD.
India will meet up with Australia in the Semi Final.
Just now, Australia defeated Pakisthan (What a match it was).
Now our head will be held up high. We will lose to Australia and not to Pakisthan.
Jai Australia Jakkamma !
